We serve in Christ’s love by supporting pastors and church workers, empowering underprivileged children through meal programs and discipleship, and uplifting impoverished communities through compassion, care, and hope.

our story

Hope Mission Philippines is a developing nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting pastors and church plants in some of the most underserved regions of the Philippines. The ministry began in the cities and small towns of Camarines Sur Province in the Bicol region, sharing the Gospel and the good news of Jesus Christ with those who have not yet come to know Him.

Today, we partner with 21 local churches, many of which started in humble settings—gathering in living rooms, kitchens, backyards, and vacant lots. These churches are led by faithful pastors who serve their communities with limited resources but unwavering commitment.

What We Do

Hope Mission Philippines provides both financial and spiritual support to pastors and church workers so they can continue serving their congregations full time.

Our support includes:

  • Assistance with church building and facility needs

  • Community meal programs for underprivileged children and families

  • Outreach efforts that meet both spiritual and practical needs

By supporting pastors and strengthening local churches, we help ensure ministry continues where it is needed most.

Our Values

Our work is rooted in the belief of loving God and loving our neighbors as ourselves.

We believe that when pastors are supported and churches are strengthened:

  • Communities grow in faith

  • Families gain stability

  • Hope takes root for future generations

Everything we do is guided by compassion, integrity, and a commitment to serve with humility and love.

Our Story

Marilou “Malou” P. Valencia, a registered nurse at Bicol Medical Center in Naga City, and her husband James Valencia, a retired Merchant Marine Engineer, are members of Naga City Alliance Church. Their ministry began as a family’s compassionate response to the urgent needs they witnessed in their neighborhood and in the towns where they grew up—especially after devastating tropical typhoons left families with little more than the clothes they were wearing.

Moved by these circumstances, Malou enlisted the help of her sister Mia, along with James’s daughter Jane, and what began as a simple family effort quickly grew into a shared mission. As needs continued to grow, families invited friends to partner with them through prayer and financial support.

Soon, members of Naga City Alliance Church also began volunteering their time and skills to serve the many impoverished communities in the region.

Malou's sister Mia is a Nurse Practitioner in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she found her home church at East Bay Fellowship in Danville, California. There, God brought her into fellowship with close friends who would become like family—Theresa Po, Amy Andes, Golda Nohay, and Maria Jean Garfinkle.

Through shared moments of prayer and fellowship over lunches, tea, and coffee, they were inspired to grow Malou's ministry. This is where the vision for Hope Mission Philippines was born.

Galatians 6:9

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up"
